Thanks to its location, the Maldives is one of the best places on the planet to swim with mantas.

Leopard shark resting on the sand

Leopard Shark

One of the rarest animals to see anywhere in the world, and here we can find it.

Guitarfish resting on white sand

Guitarfish

One of the most threatened species on Earth, and we visit a spot where it can be seen every day.

Tiger shark in deep blue water

Tiger Shark

Only a few places in the world offer tiger shark encounters, and where we go is considered the best of them all.

5 icons. And many more.

This expedition is designed to find these five, but the ocean usually gives us much more: reef sharks, nurse sharks, the chance to see ornate eagle rays, spotted eagle rays, sea turtles and more.

One trip you will remember forever.

This expedition was built for one thing: getting you in the water with as many of the Maldives' ocean animals as possible. In the South Ari Atoll we look for whale sharks, manta rays, the rare leopard shark, guitarfish, nurse sharks and stingrays. Then we fly to Fuvahmulah for the tiger sharks.

It's easy to see the Maldives from a luxury resort or a luxury liveaboard. We do it differently: we lead every trip ourselves and work hand in hand with local guides who have lived and worked in the Maldives for decades, the best in the country for each of these encounters. Every trip supports local tourism.

Your experience will be with BlueKings, a company that has been taking travelers to the Maldives for more than 7 years and has shared this expedition with hundreds of people.

Small group, boutique experienceMaximum 10 guests per departure, so everyone gets real time in the water.
Private boat experienceMany tours put you on boats with 20, 25, even 30 people. Not us: the boat is only for our group.
Local experts onlyWe lead the trip and work side by side with local guides who have decades of living and working in the Maldives. We only support local tourism.
Ethical encountersWe never force an interaction. With our own equipment, including drones, we always try to find the animals ourselves and stay away from crowded spots.
Everything arranged for you7 nights of lodging, every tour and gear, flights and speedboats between islands. You just focus on the ocean.
Get all the contentEvery day we film and photograph the encounters, and the whole group gets all of it. It's shared content from the trip, not a private photo shoot.
