About the Trip

Marine Life

South Ari Atoll: whale sharks, manta rays, leopard sharks, guitarfish, nurse sharks and stingrays.
Fuvahmulah: tiger sharks.

Our team includes marine biologists who explain how each encounter happens and share what matters about every species, so you learn while you enjoy it. Our goal isn't just for you to see and swim with these animals, but for you to leave knowing much more about them.

Getting There & Transportation
  1. 1
    Fly to Malé (MLE)You book
Arrive at Velana International Airport before 8:00 AM on day 1, because our speedboat leaves at 10:00 AM. Some flights land around 6:00 AM, but we always recommend arriving at least one day early (or several) to rest, beat the jet lag and enjoy your first day in the water.
  2. 2
    Speedboat to DhigurahIncluded
We meet at the airport at 8:00 AM and leave at 10:00 AM on our speedboat to Dhigurah, in the South Ari Atoll.
  3. 3
    Domestic flight to FuvahmulahIncluded
After 4 nights in Dhigurah, we take a speedboat back to Malé and an afternoon flight to Fuvahmulah. There are only two flights a day to Fuvahmulah, so expect 3 to 4 hours of free time in Malé before the flight.
  4. 4
    Back to MaléIncluded
We take the first flight of the day from Fuvahmulah to Malé, usually at 5:30 AM. There are only two flights a day, and with the afternoon one most people would miss their flight home, so we always choose the morning flight. You will be back in Malé before 10:00 AM. Book your flight home after 12:00 noon to stay safe from delays or cancellations, or the next day if you want more room.
Ethical Encounters

We never force an interaction. We have our own equipment, including drones, and we always try to find the animals ourselves and stay away from crowded spots.
