Join us for six days in Baja California Sur for an ocean safari and get the chance to find orcas during the largest mobula ray aggregation in the world. Every year the orcas come to hunt the mobulas, and it is one of the few places on Earth where you can share the water with them.

About the Trip

Marine Life

Orcas: they come to hunt during the mobula aggregation, one of the most spectacular events in the ocean.
Mobula rays: the largest aggregation in the world, with thousands of them together.

The Sea of Cortez is known as the world's aquarium. Besides the orcas and mobulas, you can run into sea lions, spinner, bottlenose and Risso's dolphins, blue whales, sperm whales, oceanic manta rays, sea turtles, reefs full of fish and much more.

Sightings depend on nature, so we plan each day around the ocean conditions and the animals' activity.

The price is per person and includes your accommodation for the 5 nights of the expedition. We stay together in a house, and everyone has their own private room. If you want to arrive early, tell us and we'll share recommendations for where to stay before the trip.

Meals are not included. Everyone buys their own breakfast and dinner, so you have the freedom to choose where, what and when to eat.

Getting There & Transportation

    Fly to Los Cabos (SJD)You book
    Fly into Los Cabos International Airport. Our transportation leaves the airport at 1:00 PM on day 1, so plan to land at least 2 hours before, or arrive a day early to travel more comfortably.

    Transportation to La VentanaIncluded · About 2.5 hours
    At 1:00 PM on day 1 we leave Los Cabos airport together for La Ventana, Baja California Sur. We arrive around 4:00 PM.
  3. 3
    Back to Los CabosIncluded · About 2.5 hours
    On the last day our transportation leaves La Ventana at 10:00 AM and arrives at Los Cabos airport around 12:30 PM. Book your flight home after 2:00 PM, or the next day to travel more comfortably.
Ethical Encounters

We never force an interaction. We respect the animals' space, follow the local rules for swimming with them, and always let them decide how close they want to be.
